I want to dedicate this post just to this game, i know i have talked about this game a lot but never have i ever put this into structured words
Recently, I have started watching playthroughs of this game and noticed how differently people react to it across age groups, genders, and even ideologies. It’s fascinating to see how this one experience means something entirely unique yet similar to everyone who plays it. I’ve never played another game that could make me feel so many things at once happy, sad, nostalgic, hopeful sometimes even all within the same moment. It has made me think on how different my own life could have been had I taken a different decision at certain point in the past.
Even the streamers/youtubers who are non-serious, paid attention to the details and lore this game provided. it provoked very deep thoughts in them. And the message in the game is not very original its the same stuff that we have learned throughout our lives but then why this game feels so special to me. I have no answer to it other than it is the best game i have ever played not in terms of the game-play but the story and how the characters were pitched against each other, the atmosphere, the music, everything. for me this game will be in different tier of game, separate from everything other i have played.
i sadly cant go into much depth without spoiling the plot.
I wanna leave this post here for future when everyone here has played this game so i can hear and discuss what this game made each of you feel and what thoughts it provoked.
i am gonna leave just one from from the game here –

I have heard much about this game and maximum I heard about it is from you. I have seen a few gameplay videos and a very few livestreams which give me an idea that it is a turn based fighting game, much like final fantasy. However your keen mention of the experience this game gives is not going unnoticed. There are several who resonate with your thoughts and say about the epicness of this wonder. They also say how this was made by a small developer or maybe a team, I’m not sure, and that it is nothing less than a master story scape.

Wow, so many feeling bundled all together. Holy smokes! I would certainly like to hear an example of it. How can they be so powerful to remind you of your own real world choices. Which brings me to my next question. Can you cite an example about an incident in your life which may have had a potential fork. Imaginatively speaking, where do you think that detour could have taken you. I would like to play this imagination game and may be add to some fictional scenarios.

Oh my, how do mean when you say “how the characters were pitched against each other”? Are you referring to the powerful story and indulging direction that introduces the characters or do you mean how they eventually grow into based on your decisions? Pray tell!

I respect that and sure think that many would not like the story spoilt. I however personally do not mind half told story as it’s quite equivalent to a blind play. But if you still insist on not sharing then no worries at all. I respect your boundaries.

There is a scene at the very end that evokes this feeling in particular, its like what if you can see an alternate reality of your other life in your mind, how would it make you feel seeing the things you dreamed of actually happen. If my accident didn’t have happened, would i have made it into the navy like i planned, how would that life look like then.
i don’t really feel bad about how things are now but just a fleeting false memory that your minds make up, made me tear up unintentionally when i first saw that scene for the first time and i have seen many people break at that same scene, now i cant help but wonder, did they have the same thought as me ?November 13, 2025 at 8:21 pm #7397how would it make you feel seeing the things you dreamed of actually happen. Oh wow. I heard navy life is full of adventures and thrills. What kind of navy work were you interested in? Was it merchant navy or the battle navy? I can imagine you as an officer for sure. Bright white uniform, sharp cap, walking the take off and landing decks of a destroyer class vessel. I am not sure what position you would be in, hahaha.

I don’t know as I have not played the game, but I may be able to feel a spec of impact that you sustained. Normally there are several games that make you emotionally connect with them with their acts. As an example when I played Ghost of Tsushima, I experienced a rush when Jin Sakai first activated Ghost Mode or when playing Final Fantasy 16, there was an epic battle against the mighty dragon and bringing it down surging the feelings of extreme achievement.
But nothing compares to what you have mentioned where an in game act makes you think your real life arches. I guess the only way to find out myself would be to play the game and live that moment.November 15, 2025 at 10:42 am #7445Oh wow. I heard navy life is full of adventures and thrills. Probably some sort of weapon specialist where i could tinker with the big guns xD.

This statement is very true, but there are very few games that i truly connected with in the long term story and world building wise.
I can list few of them out for you
Assasin’s credd – whole altair and Ezio Auditore saga
Deus ex series
Witcher series (specially witcher 1)
Dragon age origins
And i put expedition 33 just tiny bit above all of these, i literally want to interview all of the people that have played this game to know what did they think about on every pivotal scene of the game -
