I have this widget for my phone that shows a random quote. Today I came across the one that says “Flow never force”. I cannot understand the meaning of this. Can anyone help me figure out the quote’s interpretation?

  1. Thanks for sharing. If I understand this correctly, Bruce Lee is referring to the form of water. It acquires forms as per the it’s circumstances. But what if the vessel is smaller than the water’s capacity itself. Where goes the excess water? Am I to split myself?

  2. Please help me understand this. You guide me to understand the flow state. But the water in the vessel before entering the vessel was in flow state and after entering the vessel the state had changed. Some water is stagnant state trapped in the vessel unless moved again and the other that overflowed and still in flow state.

Which one am I to be? Or am I to be both?

  3. Well the idea is to be okay in which ever situations you’re put in and that wouldnt affect you.
Water when put into a tea pot it that it fills up fully or it becomes the tea pot and similar when its put into vessels of other shapes it takes that form.
