You hear the words that tear the soul,

Unspoken truths that take their toll.

Not love denied, but love held thin,

A heart too tired to let you in.

Selfish wants in borrowed disguise,

Selfless blame behind weary eyes.

Fingers pointing, wounds unnamed,

Quiet guilt, yet no one blamed.

Anger rises, nowhere to go,

Not at the world, but fate you know.

So it turns inward, sharp and slow,

A fire the broken learn to hold.

Still the spirit learns to see,

Pain is a teacher dressed as “ME”.

What breaks the heart refines the flame,

Until surrender softens pain.

Dear Sir @Diego ,

I am having a hard time understanding this one. It has taken me several days to put the meaning together. Help me figure this out. Does it mean that our lives are influenced by many across time and Us opening to them brings nothing but pain and despair, because we have had little experience with relationships.
Eventually we learn through pain and broken heart. Eventually we reform, reshape ourselves, both mentally and physically.

Is this what it is?
