You hear the words that tear the soul,
Unspoken truths that take their toll.
Not love denied, but love held thin,
A heart too tired to let you in.
Selfish wants in borrowed disguise,
Selfless blame behind weary eyes.
Fingers pointing, wounds unnamed,
Quiet guilt, yet no one blamed.
Anger rises, nowhere to go,
Not at the world, but fate you know.
So it turns inward, sharp and slow,
A fire the broken learn to hold.
Still the spirit learns to see,
Pain is a teacher dressed as āMEā.
What breaks the heart refines the flame,
Until surrender softens pain.
