“Lucky I am, if I have time to think about anything”
– Bhupinder Ji, 18th October 2025, Khanna
I have just had an incredible realisation bestowed upon me by my awesome friend Bhupinder Ji. He described the acquisition of peace by way of surrender to the very elements that are taking it away. He made me realise that all the time I am using to complain about my situation and that how miserable it is, is actually being wasted time which otherwise can be full of peace. He made me see that the time I so passionately seek is being consumed in thinking about it. He pointed out that if I am in capacity to think whatever I want then I am the luckiest person alive. He feels sad for those who do not have the freedom to think freely, who are occupied all the time. I see this perspective of Bhupinder Ji. I acknowledge it as a major shift in my understanding. I will therefore try to practice awareness of this very fact each moment, each day; everyday.

It is only you who can determine how you want to feel.
Say a random person calls you stupid, you can laugh it out and carry on with your life because you know that his point do not have any validation upon looking into it. Or you can feel mad about it and argue with him and mess up your mood for the rest of the day.
Hmm. I am trying to figure out the relevance of your comment here. In essence it is wisdom but where I fail to understand is how does it relate to this post.
Are you implying that what I learnt from my friend is also subject to my “determinant”? Is this what you imply or is it something else. Kindly shed some light.
If my understanding of what your friend meant is right then yes it should be relatable to the post.
Your friend said that it’s hard to find people who have time to think or pay attention to themselves as they’re occupied in this rat race. And if one does get time then it’s better to spend it on looking things positively or in a way that would make us feel better.
Yes, I think that’s a decent way to put it. If I understand him correctly he means to put appreciation to the people who have the independence to think freely and not be with a mind occupied with only certain types of works.
Okay then yes what I posted is related to it.
In short, you just try to see things in a positive or the way you want to look at things irrespective of how the situation would be.
I do not think it is about positivity. I feel it’s more about realising that what we seek is already there. I am not entirely sure on this but I want to explore this. I am deeply moved by this notion.
When I say positivity I think its coming out not in the way I meant it to be.. its like seeing things in a way you want it to be.. idk how to say this.
Its up to you how you want to look at a situation.. Oh I think I might have got a nice clip to help this out.

Hahahah yeah, something like that. Lovely clip. I loved that movie when I was a kid.
So you see how he still thinks he has a chance even though its 1 in a million.. instead of thinking it to be like.. oh shit .. i wont get her.. blah blah
Something on those line is what I was trying to say 🙂
I see what you try to mean. But I don’t really think that is what is meant here. What are you saying is absolutely in accord with positivity and hope.
I think my friend is inclined more towards surrender, acceptance and self awareness.
its not positivity and hope, but similar to what ur friend said. I just find it hard to express these things via text.
Hmmm. Do explain! I am curious.
I did, but maybe when we meet we could have a discussion over this and I try to explain it then.
Alright, I’ll note it down somewhere as a point to discuss.
Thanks 🙂
