The Alchemist

The Alchemist

Alchemist was a novel that was recommended to me by my friend Diego. He mentioned it to be his little booklet that he always keeps with him.
I had to go through it. The novel documents the journey of the person in search for the treasure that eventually leads him back to where he started. On the way he went through several stages of exposure and challenges with amazing learnings and great connection to the nature.
Form the story point of view it is very nice and mostly fun, but I have failed to understand the inherent meaning of the book. So the treasure he sought was right where it started, but after that he still followed his heart to his beloved. Sounds like a loose end to me. I defiantly need a session with Diego to help me truly understand the meaning of this amazing story.

Note that I have added “bildungsroman” as the genre of the book. It means, “A novel dealing with one person’s formative years or spiritual education“.
