My first souls like game. Before this i was pretty scared of playing the souls like games. I was told that I had to manage a health bar, along with an ever affected stamina bar, with bosses that can one shot you. Well all this was true. I had a miserable time with the initial moments of the play through. But then, when i learned the game…. waaahooooo became my favourite game till now. Iconic line i remember, “Put these foolish ambitions to rest..” hahahah. I still play it as of now, October 2025
Update: 12th September 2026
I replayed the game again one more time with only one purpose in mind, to defeat Radahan in the Shadow of the Erd Tree DLC. Reason? Because last time when I fought him I had to summon an additional player to fight him who beat him independently by using a fingerprint shield and a thrusting sword. That defeat never set right in my heart.
So I decided to run again and this time defeated him on my own. My build was pure strength with Rotten Great Axe as my weapon of choice. I ran with the Champion armour through the entire play but had to resort to heavy armour just to push the survivability on the last fight.
I sleep satisfied.

I do not think I will be playing this game for some time now. But it’s one of the best ones I have ever played.
